Don't Have a Cow, Man!
Cow's unusual spots are putting evolutionists in a tight spot
While doing some research on the Internet recently, we came across this photo of a cow bearing a detailed map of the world on its hide. Was the cow born with these markings or are the spots the handiwork of a skilled Photoshop artist?
Obviously, this cow's spots were put there by a designer. But our question for evolutionists is this: If you agree that the cow's spots are designed, why won't you agree that the actual cow – which is so much more complex than the arrangement of its spots – was designed as well?
Evolutionists and atheists will agree that the pattern of the cow's spots was designed, but they will not agree that the cow itself was designed. That's because they are committed to their faith – yes, faith! – built on the premise that there is no Designer. Though they can see the complexities of nature all around them, they say that everything was the result of mindless, natural processes.
And that's why Darwinists have a cow whenever they hear a Bible-believing Christian say that things which appear to be designed actually are designed! If they weren't so biased against God, they'd know that the cow's spots reveals the incredibly huge blind spot in their own minds.

What other examples exist in nature that point to a Designer?

I'm no scientist, but I think the following examples are fascinating examples of God's design and common grace (and really, the list could go on for so long):
- gravity
- the human body (just thinking about reproduction, the visual system, etc. is mind boggling)
- how the earth's climates are just where they need to be for humanity (and everything else) to survive
I've been mocked, even among the Christian community, for thinking the subject of creation in Genesis (and throughout the Bible) is important. I challenge all of my Christian friends to consider the impact a literal view of Genesis has on every aspect of your faith. I would also say that considering God's handiwork in His creation is a powerful way to meditate on Him and praise His glorious name.

YOM asks "What other examples exist in nature that point to a Designer?"
Great question. The Journal of Creation (JOC) published an interesting report on astronomer Allan Sandage (18 June 1926 - 13 November 2010). Author Bergman, J., Ph. D., Title Professor Allan Sandage - his research led to Intelligent Design, JOC 25(2):78-82, 2011.
Allan Sandage work in astronomy argued against atheists views in cosmology, e.g. the universe evolved from a quantum vacuum state helped establish the ID movement today. Some of his arguments included the underling mathematics observable in nature and astronomy today and this testified to an intelligent designer and not random particles evolving into this state. Allan Sandage recognized that the big bang model has no adequate 1st Cause to explain the origin of the universe and physical laws. I point out further the Earth's very habitable orbit around the Sun. The Earth is not orbiting in a highly eccentric ellipse as many exoplanets do but very small eccentricity (compare to Mercury or Pluto for example). This could be catastrophic for life on Earth. Our Sun compared with many stars observed by astronomers and NASA Kepler observatory (exoplanet hunting), is a very calm and quite star. We could have a very active and super flaring star here, again not suitable for life on Earth. The Moon's mass is another parameter that leaves little room for error. Too much mass and the Earth could become like Io, extremely volcanic, much more than we see and that includes the Moon's mean orbital distance too. No moon and we have problems with ocean tides and cleansing of the seas. The Earth’s axis does not point to the Sun in its orbit but we have a good inclination allowing for seasons on Earth vs. the South Pole always facing the Sun as it orbits. We have a 24 hour day with day and night cycle vs. a very slow rotation or zero rotation on its axis which would keep the same side always facing the Sun and causing large, unequal heating problems for Earth. The Earth orbits a single star vs. orbiting in a multiple star system which could cause chaotic orbits in a planetary system. Many exoplanets observed feature hot Jupiters which if in our solar system could make inner planet orbits unstable. I leave it to others at YOM to expand on this list including the genetic code as evidence that points to a Designer vs. chance and random particle collisions.

Oh, where to start?! The Bible says The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handiwork. (Ps.19:1)
There is too much in creation that shows design. I will choose two that for me personally stand out. The human body and the fact that everything reproduces after its own kind. The human body is simply amazing. It would take up too much time and space to describe everything. The fact that everything produces after its own kind proves to me that everything was purposely designed. If evolution is true, and everything came out of 1 certain cell, and why is evolution not producing new things still? then why can't humans produce dogs and so on. The fact that living things are made up of male and female, and that only a male and female together can produce new life or offspring is so by design.. If evolution is true why are there only two sexes, and not a third or fourth. Reproduction clearly shows design. Again, the list is endless.
